DESCRIPTION

The traditional Cusco Package Cusco Machu Picchu 4 days and 3 nights is an option to know the differents tourist attractions in the city of Cusco and also the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.


ITINERARY

Day 1

CUSCO-KM 82- HUAYLLABAMBA

  • We will pass at your hotel between 05:30 and 06:00 am, then go on our tourist bus, towards km 82 or also known as the village of Piscakucho (2700 masl), during the trip we will go through the Picturesque villages of Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, with wonderful landscapes in the surroundings of the road, which is an approximate journey of 3 and a half hours, until you reach the starting point of the road.We will begin our walk from the control point of the bridge, on the left side of the Urubamba River, we will arrive at Miskay (2,800 masl) and finally the Inca city of Patallacta (2750 masl).We will continue our journey along the valley road created by the Kusichaca River, until we reach our first camp Wayllabamba (3,000 masl), from where you can appreciate the impressive snowy Veronica (5832 masl), and the diversity of flora and fauna that can be Find on site.

Day 2

WAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA - PACAYMAYO

  • After a good breakfast, we will be ready to continue our trek (considered the strongest of the trip), consists of a narrow ascent and near the cliffs (9 km).Along this rise the landscape changes to the Puna Sierra (dry zone with little vegetation and high). This will be the route to reach the first pass of the mountain known as Abra Warmihuañuska (Step of the dead woman) we can see flames and domestic alpacas grazing Ichu (one of the few plants that grow at this height).We will cross an area of forest inhabited by various kinds of animals such as sparrows, hummingbirds, partridges and Andean bears. For this route we recommend to carry lemon candies, chocolates and coca leaves. In order to maintain the high sugar level and control your glycerin level in altitude.Immediately after the pass we will descend to the Pacaymayu Valley (3600msnm) where we will camp after 6 hours of trekking.

Day 3

CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU FULL DAY

  • This day is memorable for the varied number of archaeological sites we will visit and for information about our guide. From Pacaymayu, we will continue to the second pass of Runcurakay Open (3970 masl), mid-morning we will visit the archaeological complex of the same name, this site is located at 3800 masl, consists of a small oval structure that is incorporated as a monitoring place Vigilance). After passing through the pass we will descend to Yanacocha (Black lagoon), enter a cloud forest and finally arrive at Sayacmarca (3624 masl). This is a beautiful complex composed of a semicircular building with different levels, narrow streets, liturgical fountains, patios and irrigation canals. We will follow the path by an easy road, we arrive at the third stage to the tillage of Phuyupamarca (3700 masl). Throughout our tour we can appreciate the magnitude of the ancient art of the Incas and see the rocks that were placed in perfect order. We will continue our trek through an Inca tunnel this is one of the archaeological complexes, although complete and preserved and is the highest point of the mountain. Phuyupamarca means "The cloud over the city", where we can observe a sophisticated complex and composed of water sources with a solid base and with a breathtaking view of the Urubamba river, after that trek we will arrive at Wiñayhuayna (2700 masl). Five minutes from the campsite in Wiñaywayna archaeological complex consisting of an agricultural center with numerous terraces and religious city.

Day 4

CUSCO - TRANSFER.

  • This day we will get up at 4:00 in the morning to leave Wiñayhuayna at the indicated time, then we will go to Intipunku (Puerta del Sol or Sunrise). The tour will take us about an hour, and then we will walk on flat stones that are on the edge of the mountain, where we can see the sunrise over the city of Machu Picchu. From Intipunku we will descend to Machupicchu in an average of 40 minutes. When arriving to Machu Picchu we have a guided tour of approximately two hours. Then you have free time to walk to the outskirts of the Citadel or climb the mountain Huayna Picchu, where you can see spectacular views of valleys and mountains surrounding the citadel of Machu Picchu or also visit the Temple of the Moon and the Famous Inca Bridge. In the afternoon you will descend to the village of Aguas Calientes, where you can visit the thermal baths to relax after 4 days of trekking. Here we will deliver the return train tickets to the city of Ollantaytambo, which lasts an average of 1 hour AND 45 minutes, on arrival will be waiting for our bus to transfer to the city of Cusco, arriving around 19:30 or 22 : 00.
